Microsoft expands its Dolby Vision HDR game test on Xbox Series X / S. The functionality is to go to the Alpha Xbox Insider Alpha ring so that more members of the Xbox community can try it. The company is looking for comments before it no longer refers the Dolby Vision HDR option, which it will happen soon. He previously promised to do so from time to time this year.

Dolby Vision brings more vibrant colors, a clearer contrast and up to 40 times brighter strengths for games, Microsoft said. It automatically adjusts the image settings to your screen. Microsoft says it worked with Dolby to create an improvement that “allows a more accurate HDR game experience when connected to a Dolby Vision compatible TV.”

Companies work with television manufacturers to optimize Dolby Vision’s experience as many display as possible before they roll it to everyone. If you are enrolled in the Insider Alpha program and you want to play games with Dolby Vision, you must make sure that you have the last firmware installed on your TV. In this way, you may be able to enjoy features such as automatic latency and variable refresh rate as well.

Some testers noticed in March that Dolby Vision Gaming has been activated in a version of the Alpha Xbox Insider Alpha ring for some games, including Borderslands 3, Gears 5 and Halo: Master Chef Collection. Microsoft says it will share more details on the games that soon exploited the capabilities of Dolby Vision.
