An art auction is fixed for taking place in June 2021 called “native digital: an unusual NFT”. This sale will be hosted by Sotheby’s, and this will take place entirely online. Sotheby’s launched their description of this sale with the following: “NFTR will be considered one of the innovative arts breakthroughs of the century.”

This NFT auction at Sotheby will be co-ran by Sotheby’s and Robert Alice. The show will be “a survey conducted by the artist of the many strands that make up this emerging cultural ecosystem”.

This exhibition will include NFT creations through the time and space, “some of the oldest” NFTS constructed Cred Raw, before the Chains Ethereum took the platform. This will also include “the most recent and complex NFTS that present advanced technical innovation”. The artists of the show include creators from four different continents.

Categories for NFT include:

  • Early NFTS
  • digital pop / futuristic
  • generator
  • Conceptual
  • Emerging artists
  • Community elected

The show will take place between June 3-20, 2021 and June 10, 2021, all online on Sothebys.com. The show will be revealed in rooms, starting with the three works you see (in preview) above.

The first three NFT shown are Anna Ridler’s Shell check-in, Cryptopunk # 7523 by Larva Labs and Kevin McCoy Quantum. More work will be revealed for this show in the coming weeks. Update: More work will be displayed in the digital digital catalog natively because we reach the date on which the auctions begin.

It is likely that Sotheby’s will allow (and maybe need) works to be purchased with cryptocurrence. The first physical work of Sotheby with the potential to buy with Cryptocurrence was also sold. As you may have already guessed, it was a banal. Sotheby has allowed the transaction to take place with Bitcoin or Entherium Cryptocurrence if the winner of the auction chooses to buy the work as such.
