The Svelte Galaxy Samsung laptop is not the only new PC that must be shown by this company, with Galaxy Book Odyssey potential gaming that promises to compete with the latest Nvidia RTX GeForce graphics. Thicker and heavier than his ultraportable siblings, Odyssey took full advantage of it by packing stronger hardware for gamers.

So, as well as Intel Intel i5 and i7 gene processors, there are NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti and 3050 new GPUs with 4GB GDDR6 special memory. It was a significant increase of Intel Iris XE Graphics integrated at the range of Galaxy Book Pro.

The Galaxy Book Odyssey received a 15.6-inch TFT LCD running at the full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080, and topped with a 720p HD camera. There are up to 32GB of DDR4 memory, and up to 1TB SSD NVME storage. Good memory and storage can be expanded, said Samsung too.

For connectivity, there are more ports than in typical notebooks too. Two USB Type-C, Three USB 3.2 Type-A, HDMI Output, MicroSD Card Reader, and Gigabit Ethernet Jack are next to headphones / Microphone Combo Port 3.5mm. On the wireless side, there is WiFi 6 (Gig +) and Bluetooth 5.1.

The 4.1 pound notebook has Dolby atmos audio and fingerprint sensor built into the power button. Samsung doesn’t say how long the 83 WH battery will last, even though it might be very dependent on gaming what you do. The 135W USB type-C charger in the box should at least take care of the task of recharge quickly.

On the side of the software, there is a choice of Windows 10 Home or Pro, and all the same galaxy ecosystem features that we have seen on the Galaxy Book Pro and the Galaxy Book Pro 360. It includes sharing Bluetooth devices easier, using the Galaxy Tab tablet as the second screen, And linking to your Windows / Microsoft mobile to access Android applications on your Galaxy smartphone from your PC desktop.

At 356.6 x 229.1 x 17.7 mm, The Galaxy Book Odyssey certainly unlike Svelte as another member of the Galaxy book range. But depending on how well the new NVIDIA GPU has survived in the real world, gamers – and pro graphics – may illustrate that a little compromise on portability is worth it. The Galaxy Book Odyssey is expected to be sent in August, starting from $ 1,399, in Mystic Black.
